Organizational Audits & Implementation Support
Sage Wellness Group conducts extensive organizational audits around topics of equity and trauma-informed care that incorporate analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. Our approach allows us to touch and hear from every stakeholder involved within an organization, from the Board of Directors to students and clients through our facilitation of focus groups (interesting fact: we’ve facilitated focus groups with students as young as Pre-K!), and quantitative analyses of policy and procedural manuals, employee/parent/student handbooks, and student/client data (e.g., utilization of services & supports, disciplinary infractions & consequence, and demographic data).

Equity Audits
Our equity audits allow school districts and schools the opportunity to assess for real and perceived inequities within policies and programming, student & parent engagement, and staff support and training. Our trained facilitators and researchers work with administrators throughout the audit process, and create safe spaces for organization staff and stakeholders to provide honest feedback in a way that is respected and valued.
Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Audits
Our trauma-informed care audits involve an intensive quantitative review of policies and procedures, signage, verbiage, and even building colors to ensure an agency’s adherence to SAMHSA’s Six Principles of Trauma-Informed Care (Safety, Trustworthiness & Transparency, Peer Support, Collaboration & Mutuality, Empowerment, Voice, & Choice, and Inclusion of Cultural, Historical, and Gender Issues). Sage Wellness Group supports agencies in reviewing and editing current practices to ensure that they are written using a person-centered and strengths-based approach and are free of deficit-based language. Our trauma-informed equity audits also involve stakeholders at all levels and begins with a comprehensive agency assessment of current knowledge of trauma-informed policies, responses, staff/client support, and language.
